DIFFERENCE IN INCLUSIVE CROSS SECTIOS OF PROTON-PROTON AND PROTON-ANTIPROTON INTERACTIONS AND POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF THE POMERANCHUK THEOREM

It is argued that multiple production processes are different in proton-proton and proton-antiproton interactions at high energies. This difference is connected with the process of hadrons production from three quark strings in proton-antiproton interaction which is absent in proton-proton interaction. The contribution from this process grows proportionally to logarithm of colliding particles full energy squared. For this reason it is unobservable at low energies but becomes important at high energies. The experimental data on inclusive cross sections of proton-antiproton interactions obtained by the UA1 Collaboration at total energy 900 GeV are 1.2 – 1.3 times higher than inclusive cross sections of proton-proton scattering obtained by the Collaborations CMS, ATLAS, ALICE at the same energy. From the unitarity condition in his case it follows that elastic cross sections of proton-proton and proton-antiproton scatterings are generally speaking different. The question of the Pomeranchuk theorem existence demands further investigation.
